My First Donut

If you have read some of my pervious blog post you would know that I had celiacs spru, and felt completely hopeless until I discovered an NAET doctor. I was very sceptical about the entire thing because I had the genetic forum of celiacs. How in the world was this doctor going to fix what was in my DNA. I was to the point in my life where I was willing to try anything because I was so sick of being sick. Even though I stuck to a strict gluten free diet I still didn't feel well. My stomach hurt constantly. Going out to eat was major anxiety for me because I never knew if things would get crossed contaminated and if I would get sick from it. Dating was a challenge at times when it came to going out to eat. because if the guy would eat something with gluten in it and kiss me I would get sick. Thankfully I had a really great boyfriend who is now my husband. When we would go out to eat he would take a toothbrush, toothpaste, and mouth wash. So after dinner he could brush his teeth wait an hour before he would kiss me so I wouldn't get sick.

I was extremely nervous I knew the NAET treatments worked on dairy allergys, vitamins,  corn, and sugar. Because I had those treated and could tell a difference in my health. I was promised before that gluten allergys could be cured. It's a good thing that these treatments don't need faith to work because I certainly didn't have any.  I went in on a Friday to The Advance Pain and Health Center to see Dr. Pinkston he had done my pervious treatments. I told him my concern about having my celiacs being genetic and not knowing if NAET would work for me. Dr. Pinkston laughed a little and reassured me that I would be fine but if I would like to come in the following Monday to be checked again to make sure it worked he would fit me in. The weekend felt so long, but Monday finally came I was so excited to see if it actually worked, but at the same time I was preparing myself  just in case it didn't work. I went in, he did the muscle testing and he told me I was good to go! I was so excited all weekend long I was trying to decide what to eat first. A piece of cake? An Oreo? Then it hit me, I wanted a donut! That's what I wanted to eat first! I drove to go pick up my boyfriend at his apartment and we went to harrmons. I was in awe over all the donuts they had. I finally picked a plain donut with chocolate frosting on it. We sat down at a table because I couldn't wait any longer and I took my first bite. It was the best thing I had ever eaten. I started to tear up hoping that it worked, and I wouldn't get sick. I waited 10 minutes to make sure that I didn't have a reaction. Nothing.... I took another bite of the donut, and waited some more.. Nothing... I ate the entire donut and I didn't get sick! I decided to pace myself on indroducing my body to new foods.
My mom wasn't convinced that I could actually be cured, even though she saw me eat wheat and not get sick. She had me go do a blood test to make sure. The blood test came back normal my IGA that was off the chart before was completely normal. I was cured.
