Medical frustration

Going to a medical doctor when you're sick is usually a relief. I had great medical providers and great care, but sometimes they were as frustrated as I was. Because I had celiacs spur, and it's an autoimmune disorder, other things came along with it. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, IBS, ulcerative colitis, raynaunds, and the beginning stages of lupus. All of which were all very challenging in their own way.  I longed for treatments for years to try to get my symptoms under control so I could go about my daily life. I wanted to share what a few medical providers have said to me over the years hopefully some of you can relate, if not I hope you find some humor in it.
  • "Really? your here again what's wrong with you this time?"
  • "It's all in your head there's nothing wrong with you."
  • " You just want attention."
  • "Lets do another blood test."
  • "We can't tell what's wrong with you, go get another biopsy."
  • "You're a medical a nominally."
  • "You're just depressed."
  • "You're just making all this up."
  • "You're cheating on your gluten free diet."
  • "You're anorexic."
  • "You should go see another doctor."
  • "Take this medication it will help."
  • The worst one was when I was14 and my gal bladder had been bad for 8 months and I had numerous tests done. They finally decided that it was only working 12%  and that I needed it out soon. The doctor that I was going to go to was on vacation and they didn't have any available surgeons unless I went through the emergency room. The hospital suggested that we call the next closest hospital to see if they could do it. My mom called  the surgeon on the phone and told him our situation and he replied " if your daughter would lose 20 pounds she wouldn't need her gal bladder out.  I'm not taking a gal bladder out on a 14 year old because she is fat." My mom just hung up the phone and I began to sob, I only weighed 70 pounds at the time and I was so upset I just wanted to go home and deal with the pain. We ended up going back to the first hospital and going through the emergency room. The surgery went well and  I felt so much better. Three weeks later I ran a 5k and started gaining some weight back.

I wasn't a stranger to blood tests, biopsies, hospitals, and random diagnosis. It wasn't until I discovered an NAET doctor that almost all of my problems or autoimmune disorders were associated with food allergys. I knew I had a gluten/wheat and milk/dairy problem but I didn't realize how much more I was allergic to and the problems they caused. As of today all of my autoimmune disorders are gone. I didn't realize how bad I felt until I stated feeling better. I missed out on so much in life because I was afraid to go out and do anything for fear of getting sick. Now I'm just trying to make up for lost time.

What is NAET

NAET stands for Nambudripads Allergy Elimination Techniques. It's a non-invasive, pain free, drug free, and natural solution to eliminate allergies of all types. Generally one allergen is treated at a time.  The reason I had milk treated first is because there are 15 base allergens and the treatments work best when treated in a systematic order.

  • 1.  BBF (Autonomic Nervous System Balance)
  • 2.  Egg Mix (Proteins)
  • 3.  Calcium Mix
  • 4.  Vitamin C Mix
  • 5.  B Complex
  • 6.  Sugar Mix
  • 7.  Iron Mix
  • 8.  Vitamin A Mix
  • 9.  Minerals, Water, Driking Water, City Water
  • 10.  Salt Mix
  • 11.  Grain Mix
  • 12.  Yeast Mix, Yogurt and Whey
  • 13.  Stomach Acid
  • 14.  Digestive Enzymes or Base
  • 15.  Hormones

After the top 15 are cleared or treated you can move on to other allergys. I will try to explain it to the best of my ability on how NAET works. It's defiantly a different kind of allergy treatment and it's not what you would think. They don't inject you with what you're allergic to, and they don't poke your back a million times. They don't put you on medication that may have side effects or may not even work at all. It's so much easier than thatNambudripad claims that the centeral nervous system and associated sensory systems have the ability to detect the "electromagnetic signatures" of all molecules, with the central nervous system either attracting, ignoring or rejecting a particular substance. Rejection is said to manifest it's self as an energy disturbance or blockage to the meridians. The theory of NAET proposes that these allergies can be eliminated by addressing the energy blockages through the use of acupuncture or acupressure. Then they will aim to remove energy blockages by having you hold a glass vile while using muscle testing to determine if your allergic to it or not. once they find what your allergic to acupuncture techniques are employed while doing different breathing techquics pyou hold your breath, hyperventilate, and breath normally. Then they do what's called "closing the gates" where they hit acupuncture points on your hands and feet. After treatment, you are supposed to advoid the substance for 25 hours then after that you are usually good to go! Some treatments take 2 or 3 times but most the time it only takes 1 treatment.

I had my doubts about it because it sounds to good to be true. I'm honestly glad I gave it a try It has changed my life forever. I'm going on two years now of eating wheat/gluten with no problems at all. If anyone has anyone questions please feel free to message me and I will try to answer them the best I can.

There is no cure....

Now I know what your thinking there is no cure for celiacs disease the doctors say it and the Internet so it must be true because it's in my DNA. For 11 years I endured being sick, miserable, fearful, feeling isolated, and having to accept that this was how the rest of my life would be. Don't think I'm a whiner or a quitter I'm not. I ran cross county, track, danced, cheered, I was really involved in my school, community, and church events. But I also spent a lot of time in emergency rooms, getting biopsy's wondering why I couldn't learn and searching for a better quality of life. I strictly followed a gluten free diet, but it was crazy things like wheat ions in my shampoo that had me sick for months at a time. Along with traditional medicine and through prayer I was led to try bio meridian treatments http://integrative.ca/treatments/testing/biomeridian/ which was really cool but they had put me on over 20 pills a day to try to heal my stomach but it was to much medication and my body couldn't handle it I felt awful. Progress was slow but I opened my mind to acupuncture, massage, yoga and drinking dirt because someone told me it would heal my stomach. All very therapeutic I found yoga very beneficial especially when I had an attack of the "crazy's". By this time in my life I was trying college and roommates which were both a disaster. I wasn't ready for that much stress in my life. I ended up in the hospital and moving home for four months. It was time to start again I attended cosmology school i met another student who had horrible seasonal allergies. She introduced me to a doctor she had discovered a chiropractor. http://advancedhealthstgeorge.com/ When she first told me about it it sounded really great. But I had my doubts it sounded to good to be true. I was pretty sure that there was nothing that could help me. My mom is always a willing a victim came to let me practice on her hair. We decided to give it a try and see what happened. We went, it was a sureal experience. I remember saying to my mom I think we just wasted your money. It was interesting for our first treatment we both got milk and dairy allergerys treated. It's really hard to explain but the treatment is called NAET I will write a separate post about what NAET is. 25 hours after the treatment my mom and I shared a milkshake without any adverse sideffects. We were scared and doubtful and then we were really excited. I couldn't wait to go back so he could cure my celiacs.

I'm going to try to update my blog regularly and give you more detail about my journey.

My story.... The quick version

For as long as I can remember I've been sick. As an infant I had tubes in my ears and my tonsils out. When I started school my "tummy" hurt all the time, teachers would tell my mom that I needed to tough-in up and that I was too babied. It was frustrating for my parents, teachers, and especially me because I just didn't feel well. Finally at age 10 I was diagonosed with the genetic forum of  celiac spur. It was a realativly a new diagnosis and gluten free food was not readily available and very expansive. Even though this diagnosis was good because I finally knew why I didn't feel well it was hard to eat in social setting I often got sick due to cross contamination. celiac is more known now but a lot of symptoms go undiagnosed for instance my mom had what she called my celiac crazy after I would get "poisoned" (contaminated by wheat/gluten) I would have the normal symptoms which were migraines, upset stomach, diarrhea, constipation, failure to thrive, weight loss, dental enamel of permanent teeth. And behavioral issues. Now let's talk about my crazy's "behavioral issues" they were caused by gluten free food that was processed where wheat was present. After I finished the normal symptoms I became fearful and wouldn't leave my house. I would cry for days on end and was not reasonable at all. More than once my mom would drag me out of the house and push me on the school bus where I would cry most the day at school. As I got older leaving my house scared me so much that I would literally jump out of people's cars. I want to share my story in hopes that one person can benefit from my journey. The good news is after 11 years I am healed.
